Hello and happy April. Just is a quick post to share a bit of news. First, I have moved to a quaint historic neighborhood of Brooklyn and I'm already feeling the love hehe.... check out my BK inspired illo. More to come!

Second, I have been selected as the Illustrator of The Week over at www.childrensillustrators.com. What an honor. Thank you so much guys! You made my week/month!

Valentine's Day Cards

Hello friends, Happy February! It's been a chilly week here in the city. So instead of being out and about, I've cozied up in my studio and worked on these Valentine's Day cards while watching romantic comedies, of course :) My all-time favorites are My Best Friend's Wedding, Something's Gotta Give and How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days. Absolutely LOVE and can never get tired of watching them. What are yours?

A very belated but ever so Happy New Years wishes to all of you! I hope you had a blast and got lots of down time. And, yes hanging / partying with the family is considered down time ;) Well... I am more prepared for this year than I ever have been thanks to Jessica Swift's 2013 Goal kit. I just completed it and feeling oh so organized and excited for the year! In one of the worksheets, you get to figure out your word/ theme for the year and my word for 2013 is BRAVE! So here's to a braver artist, creator, blogger, friend and life! Wishing all of you the same. 

Photo taken this evening at Central Park. I fell in love with the wild branches. It kinda reminds me of how crazy my life journey has been.

Hello friends! It's been an interesting year for me here in the city. New Licensing Rep!

Hello! I am so excited to announce that I will NOW be licensing my work! Woohoo!!! That means, not only will I be attending Surtex this year, but I'll also be selling my designs. I've had this as one of my 2012 goals and I finally signed with Mary Beth, from Pink Light Studio! She is a very talented and successful woman, so I have no doubt that we'll make a great team. I will be posting new and exciting projects on here as they come along. For now, here's a write up about Pink Light Studio (showcasing one of my newer pieces) on Art Buyer Mag, the best resource for art & design licensing. Does the yellow owl look familiar hee hee? ;)

Oh, I almost forgot to mention this!! My dear friend Nina Seven from We Love To Illustrate is also one of the Pink Light artists, so I am in good company! :)

I hope you are all well and recovering from the storm. I feel pretty lucky to have missed the worse part of the storm and have kept power. Stay safe and strong!

This month at We Love To Illustrate we are celebrating Fall! Stop by to check our happy illustrations and all of the beautiful fall colors.

Also, I've been invited back to Workbook's Creative Carnival event on November 16th. I'm really excited! I had a blast last year drawing for charity and looking forward to another great event!

Adorable Owl Lovers 2013 Calendar!

Hello friends! I have a little something special to share with you today. My friend Shivani from My Owl Barn has put together an adorable Owl Lovers 2013 Calendar! The calendar is a collaboration between My Owl Barn and over 40 very talented artists from around the world, including my dear friend, Cally Johnson-Isaacs, from We Love To Illustrate.

The calendar is completely customizable, so you can select which ever owl image you want to print for which ever month. How cool is that!? Shavini has also created a pre-made version that you can download and print. I can wait to create my very own Owl Lover 2013 Calendar! Enjoy and happy owl-ing hehe ;)
